Counting the Days

In less than 10 days, I will be leaving this place. My home for 3 years. It actually just struck me last night that I have grown so much in those 3 years. With the amount of experience I gained, I'm hoping I am more equipped in going through life.

I am quite excited in moving to my new place. I'll try to make it liveable two weeks after I move in. There's just tons to do. Loads of stuff to get. I'll do it slowly this time. I've learned my lesson.

Still open to suggestions about styling. So if anyone out there is eager to give me input on how I can style my new place, fire away. I'd love to hear what you guys have. Lately, I've been buying local design magazines to get input as well. Mostly on where to get cheap furniture, accents, etc. Planning on tripping to Evangelista this weekend so I'm really hoping I find something decent there.

Does anybody know where else I can go for cheap furniture? Well, cheap but nice looking. :) Or do you guys have furniture you're willing to let go of for a price? Hehehehe.

I'll post pics of the entire move so you'll have an idea how I deal with a move. :)

WANTED AD

Since I've got a decent amount of friends out there maybe you guys can help me out. I'm looking for a new place to move to, just coz my current "home" will be sold by my friend soon.

Anyway, here's what I'm looking for:

- condo unit in Makati or The Fort
- at least a studio around 30+ or more sqm.
- it has to be unfurnished otherwise I don't know where to put all my stuff
- should have a parking lot that's safe
- my budget is Php20,000 (inclusive of rent, association dues and parking)
- of course, if it's cheaper, I'll be much happier

So if anyone out there has info that would fulfill my requirements, please give me a holler. I have 4 months to go to find a new place.

Thanks in advance!

A Fine Addition

Long has it been since I've been eyeing the Mulberry bag. Now I have one... I can't be happier. Well of course other things can make me happy but I am content with this one. I have a huge version of it, for potenital weekend trips that is.

People people, don't think I'm shallow because I'm celebrating a birth of a bag for me. Hahaha. I just enjoy nice things. Thanks to my friend for getting it for me.

You can check it out on the internet at this site for Mulberry

Simplest Pleasures

From WITS and NUTS
That was a first for me to get tagged by the way:

I was asked to identify the 10 Things I consider to be my simplest pleasures... Toughie!

- going to work for 5 days in jeans
- driving only 10-15 mins to get to work
- eating on the floor while watching TV and being on the internet
- having brewed coffee everyday in the comfort of my own home with a choice of Swedish, Sagada, or Starbucks coffee
- always given enough time to prepare for leaving the house (it takes me a while now to prep for going out)
- seeing my closest friends on a weekly basis for dinner and coffee
- chatting with my friends who are not in Manila often
- getting to sleep for 8 hours (almost every day)
- walking around my place half naked
- being able to go to the mall by simply walking to it

A Day of Being a Chef

I was picked to be a guest co-host for Chef To Go (QTV-11) and boy was it an experience. They picked me from thousands of emails the show would get from their avid fans. The setup, Chef Rob Pengson, Mirriam Quiambao (celebrity guest co-host), and I would be making a scrumptious meal for my mom (and dad of course) in celebration of my mom's birthday on October 21.

Everything was set and taping went on for a few hours. I did some work in the makeshift kitchen and boy was I in for a treat. I did minor things really like squeezed a lemon, stirred the vinigrette, poured in extra virgin olive oil, etc. What was on the menu you may ask? Well, we had Ensalata de Frutti di Mari (starters), Braised Lamb Shank with Risotto and Porccinni mushrooms (main dish), and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Blueberries and Mango puree.

After all the food got prepared, I had another mission, to get my mom and dad to the "set" in Alabang (Manong's near Festival Mall). I had to come up with some story about a friend opening a restaurant and we were invited to go. Anyways, I was successful in getting my parents to go to the venue.

It went pretty smoothly. My mom got so surprised (so did I) as she knows who Chef Rob is. Apparently, she watches the show too. She was also surprised to see Mirriam Quiambao whom she absolutely adores. At this time my dad was so clueless about the whole thing. He thought Mirriam and Chef Rob were the "friends" I was talking about.

It was all too surreal. Very "Wish Ko Lang" moment... Anyways, I am very happy that my mom was so surprised with the treat. I even got "gift" from the show for my condo. So thanks to QTV-11, Chef Rob Pengson, Mirriam Quiambao, and the staff/crew that day. Thanks for helping me make my mom's birthday extra special, just coz she deserves nothing less.

And Finally...

Just one of those things you need to be reminded of...

Your Seduction Style: Ideal Lover
You seduce people by tapping into their dreams and desires.
And because of this sensitivity, you can be the ideal lover for anyone you seek.
You are a shapeshifter - bringing romance, adventure, spirituality to relationships.
It all depends on who your with, and what their vision of a perfect relationship is.

OK OK... It's Scary

This was just really scary... Any of my friends who will read this can totally testify to the factual nature of this "analysis."

Libra - Your Love Profile
Your positive traits:

You are open minded enough to date outside your typical "type" ... successfully!
You are diplomatic - and likely to end a fight instead of dragging things out.
You are easily loyal and faithful, but only for the right person.

Your negative traits:

You're a bit gullible, and partners take advantage of you. You still may not know it.
You find it difficult to decide where to go to dinner, what movie to watch, who to date...
You have to be in a relationship, or else you just don't feel like yourself.

Your ideal partner:

A smooth talker who enjoys socializing as much as you do.
Someone classy and cultured who knows which wine to order with dinner.
Is beautiful to you - although not necessarily attractive in the traditional sense.

Your dating style:

Romantic. If your date comes bearing flowers, wine, and poetry... well, your heart soars.

Your seduction style:

Giving. Your lover's pleasure is as important as your own.
Soft and sensual - you don't like anything to be rough.
Extravagant ... your fantasy involves staying at a five star hotel with your love.

Tips for the future:

Don't be so quick to compromise in relationships - and you'll get taken advantage of yes.
Try being single for a while. Seems impossible, but you'll learn so much about yourself from doing so.
Make some decisions about your romantic life, right now. You'll be happy that you did.
